How do I find the best place to get dental work done?
Caring for your teeth and gums can be an incredibly personal matter, and it’s only natural to want to find a provider you can trust to help you maintain your smile. An online search using your favorite internet browser can likely produce a local list of results, but it can be a struggle to narrow them down and find the right dentist.
Before continuing, you might take a few moments to write down your priorities when it comes to oral healthcare. For instance, are you seeking an office that’s in-network with your insurance policy? Do you have children that also require dental services? Are there specific treatments you anticipate wanting or needing? Answering these questions for yourself can help you find someone who checks off all the right boxes.
How much does a standard dental checkup and cleaning cost in Fort Worth?
The American Dental Association recommends having a routine checkup and cleaning every six months to prevent common concerns, like cavities or gum disease. But you might avoid scheduling your appointment if you’re concerned about the cost.
Most people in Fort Worth can expect to pay between $125 to $200 for a standard visit, but the rate can vary significantly based on your circumstances. For example, if you have dental insurance, up to 100% of the cost could be covered, so you may not owe anything out-of-pocket. However, if Dr. Morales finds any issues, you’ll be responsible for paying for the required treatments.
What if I’m too anxious to visit the dentist?
Many people get nervous when it comes to dental procedures, but if your anxiety is so severe that you frequently reschedule or cancel your appointments, your oral health could suffer.
Thankfully, Dr. Morales understands that you might be struggling, and offers nitrous oxide (laughing gas) sedation to help you feel calm and comfortable throughout your visit. Whether you’re undergoing a routine exam or a more complex treatment, this medication can help you complete your procedure successfully.
What level of education is required to become a dentist?
Are you wondering what makes Dr. Morales qualified to work with patients? All dentist must meet specific criteria to become licensed, and she is no exception! Typically, providers first earn a bachelor’s degree, and then must achieve either a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from one of the 70+ institutions accredited by the American Dental Association (ADA). Then, they can choose to focus on one of the 12 officially recognized specialties.
At our office, Dr. Morales earned her DDS from the Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry and remains committed to continuing education to stay current with the latest dental treatments and technology.
What do you do if you can’t afford dental care?
Our team happily accepts most major PPO dental insurance policies, which can often be an effective way to help you afford your treatments. But we also understand that not everyone carries a plan, and we don’t want your current financial situation to prevent you from receiving quality dental care.
That’s why we offer an in-house dental savings plan. Your membership fee provides access to routine preventive services, like exams, cleanings, and X-rays, as well as additional discounts on most other procedures we offer. We also happily accept flexible payment plans through Cherry or CareCredit. If your application is approved, these options allow you to divide your final invoice into more manageable installments that are paid over a designated period.
